While the family is undergoing a systemic destruction, it is also being redefined as having multiple models, where its nuclear boundaries are crossed or outrightly abolished. This seminar workshop presents a scientific perspective of the family unit as a system within and among other social systems in society. It discusses how the family system and its member components relate in varied contexts, which may result to either a functional, troubled or dysfunctional unit, seeking for outside interventions.
