Journey of Metanoia
The story of Metanoia began with a belief: that true healing is a profound, transformative process—not a quick fix. Frustrated by one-size-fits-all approaches, we envisioned a place where care was as unique as the individual.
This vision, rooted in the idea of "metanoia"—a transformative change of mind—led to the creation of a holistic practice. We blended the rigor of evidence-based psychotherapy with the wisdom of somatic therapies, family constellations, and psychospiritual insights.

Ana Bellusa M. Pellejo
Ana Bellusa Daymiel Marquiala-Pellejo, PhD Psych, R. Psych, RGC, LPT had a rather long winding career journey by first working as an itinerant philosophy teacher with her AB in Philosophy as the only lady graduate of the Cor Jesu Seminary, Dipolog City in 1989, but got her teacher’s license in November of 2001. This was her 2nd attempt to finish college after she left her senior year in BS Biology, in Genetics at the UPLB, Los Banos, Laguna from 1977-1982, for a contemplative vocation in a Benedictine monastery in Angin, La Union, but left it after over a year in 1982-1983, with her adolescent vertigo ailment.
Her Philosophy degree led her to venture in a MA Psychology at the WMSU, Zamboanga City while teaching Philosophy in the same school. At the twist of life’s events, she relocated to live in Iloilo City where she changed course into a MS Guidance and Counseling at the Central Philippine University and finished in 2003, and was licensed later in 2009 on the top ten of her batch. Being married in 1992, she juggled parenting, married life, career and graduate school as she pursued a PhD in Psychology at the University of San Agustin, Iloilo and finished in 2012, but got her license later after many attempts to get a grandfather’s clause license. Still pressed on for a life-long learning, she took a MAED degree at the USLS, Bacolod City in consortium with the John Paul II National Institute for Studies in Marriage and Family Life, and finished in 2017.
With varied graduate and post-graduate preparations from her Biology, Philosophy, Sociology, Guidance Counseling, Psychology, besides her informal Catholic monastic formation, she has become an expert in conducting trainings on Psycho-Spiritual Integration, Human Relations and Personality Development. This was supplanted by her more than thirty years of experience in training and facilitating seminars, workshops, retreats, recollections, and processing for personnel development, as well as counseling and psycho-evaluation for individuals in seminaries, monasteries, convents, universities, colleges, high schools, government, non-government offices, and private institutions and parties in cases of marriage nullity all over the Philippines.
However, with her varied exposures, studies and trainings in different social careers, she gravitated to the use of Family Systems Therapy as her priority approach in treating individuals and clients, being married since 1992 with four daughters. As a triple licensed free-lance professional, despite her senior age she still: offers psychological assessment for personal, formative, and industrial testing, petition for nullity of civil marriages; conducts individual and family counseling sessions; accepts HR training and consultancy on HRD services; conducts adult education/formation of community leaders with community organizing; and she is an itinerant lecturer on subjects in Philosophy, Spirituality, Sociology and Psychology, with publications and modules on Philosophy, Psychology, and Spirituality.
